Sustainable and Human Rights Manager Americas | Mars Wrigley
Maricruz works in the Mars Wrigley global sustainability team, leading sustainable sourcing for the Americas region from 2021. In her role, she supports global Mars Sustainable in Generation Plan strategies on sourcing sugar and other priority raw materials. She is responsible for ensuring the proper implementation of sustainable sourcing strategies at tier 1 level and in extended supply chains, creating and maintaining strategic relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.Â
Before taking on her current role, Maricruz worked as a sustainability consultant with different companies in the agri-food sector, developing knowledge of supply chain mapping, risk analysis and development of strategies. Her experience includes working with different actors such as industries, farmers and small holders, in Mexico, Central and South America. Â
Maricruz is an Agro-industrial Engineer, graduating from the Chapingo Autonomous University in Mexico. She holds a master’s degree in food quality and sustainability systems from Angers College of Agriculture in France, and a postgraduate degree in Food Research from Harper Adams University in England.Â
