Venue

Bonsucro Global Week 2024 will take place at the beautiful, 18th-century ‘hacienda’, Fiesta Americana Hacienda San Antonio el Puente.

We have secured discounted accommodation for delegates during Bonsucro Global Week. A summary of the available hotels is below – details and booking codes will be emailed upon registration for the conference. All discounts are subject to availability.

Accommodation

The venue hotel is offering delegates a discount for both single and double rooms, valid for nights between 19-24 May. You can find more details about the hotel here.

We have also secured a discount at a cheaper hotel in Cuernavaca, 19 kilometres from the conference venue – Fiesta Inn Cuernavaca, also valid between 19-24 May. Bonsucro will run a bus to and from the conference for delegates staying in Cuernavaca at the beginning and end of each day.

Delegates wishing to arrive early or stay in Mexico City after the conference can receive a discount at Fiesta Americana Reforma between 17-26 May.

Getting there

For international delegates, the closest airport to Bonsucro Global Week is Mexico City International Airport (MEX), located approximately 56 miles away – the journey time from airport to venue is dependent on traffic and time of travel.

We will be offering selected transport to and from Mexico City before and after the conference, and have compiled some information for delegates wishing to make their own way there.

Visa requirements

For some countries, a work or tourist visa will be required to attend the conference. We advise you to check your country’s travel and immigration agreement with Mexico at your country’s Mexican consulate. It is your responsibility to research and arrange your visa.

Please apply for a visa well in advance of the conference, to ensure enough time for the processing of your application. Details of countries that will require a visa can be found here.

Please note: As of 2022, Brazilian nationals seeking to travel to Mexico are no longer eligible to apply for an e-Visa for tourism or business. Instead they are required to obtain a consular Visitor Visa instead.

Where required, Bonsucro is able to provide an invitation letter to support a visa application. Please get in touch with BGW@bonsucro.com to request an official letter. Bonsucro can only provide a letter after the full purchase of a ticket.

Visa-free travel

For countries on the visa-free travel list, a FMM tourist permit (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) may be required, which does incur a charge. It’s issued on arrival at the point of entry or online. Please check if you will require this.

Leaving Mexico

You may need to pay a departure tax when leaving Mexico by land or air. The cost can vary, but is often included within the flight ticket price. If in doubt, check with your airline operator.

COVID-19

Although COVID-19 is not impacting day-to-day life in the same way as a couple of years ago, countries may restrict travel or bring in rules at short notice. We encourage attendees to remain vigilant and not travel if you have COVID-19.

You should check your country’s COVID-19 entry requirements to and from Mexico, as well as Mexico’s requirements for entry. Please follow any official guidance.

We are strongly encouraging attendees to carry out a COVID-19 test before and regularly throughout the conference due to the large number of people attending and the social nature of the event.

Please also check the wider health and vaccination requirements for entering Mexico, and for your onward travel.

Special requirements

If you have any access requirements for the conference, there is space on the registration form to let the Bonsucro team know. Alternatively, you can also get in touch with the team directly at BGW@bonsucro.com.

Bonsucro Global Week will also offer translation for all content in our three priority languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese. Please use the registration form to let the team know which translation language you will be using.
