Head, Trade for Sustainable Development, International Trade Centre (ITC)

Joseph Wozniak has over 20 years’ experience in international trade and development. He heads the Trade for Sustainable Development programme (T4SD) and leads the work on sustainable supply chains at ITC.  T4SD is a specialised and technical resource within ITC aligning sustainability efforts in trade, for the benefit of SMEs in particular. T4SD manages and continually develops the most comprehensive, neutral, and accurate platform on voluntary sustainability standards to benefit global sustainable trade while responding to emerging regulatory requirements such as corporate sustainability due diligence.

Prior to ITC, Mr. Wozniak worked for KPMG LLP and as a Senior Economist with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in Washington, D.C. He was responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the Agency’s portfolio and the development of analytical tools for the impact assessment of OPIC’s emerging markets investment projects in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and consumer products.
