Duncan is the Director of International Programmes at Bonsucro. He has worked in international development for all of his career, variously in the UK, Sudan, Mali, Somalia, Egypt, Zambia and more recently for the last seven years in Tanzania where he has been Country Director for SNV, Netherlands Development Organisation. This has been in a range of capacities including with NGOs, the private sector and development management consulting. Duncan has worked in a range of sectors but the bulk of his experience has been with smallholder agriculture and he has extensive experience of working with the cotton sector. 

Duncan was born in Zambia but grew up on a farm in the south of Scotland from the age of six.
