Carolina Matos is the Director of the Center for Agroecology and Environmental Services at CATI/Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo. She develops and executes programs and projects related to meliponiculture and beekeeping, ecological restoration of native vegetation, protocols of good agro-environmental practices with productive sectors and forest fire prevention.Â
Until 2021, Carolina spent 3 years as the Director of the Center for Technological Development/Department of Sustainable Development. She has been a member of Greener Ethanol Team since 2009, having served as Executive Secretary between 2019 and 2022. She also worked as an Environmental Specialist at the Secretary of the Environment of the State of São Paulo, in the Biodiversity and Natural Resources Coordination from 2009 to 2019. Â
Carolina has a bachelor’s in ecology from the São Paulo State University – Julio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) and a master’s in Geochemistry and Environment from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). She is a specialist in Field Engineering – Safety, Environment and Occupational Health by the Mobilization Program of the National Oil and Natural Gas Industry – PROMINP/USP.Â
